Whether you are a new believer seeking to become grounded in the faith or whether you are a veteran Christian wanting to learn to disciple others, the discipleship training offered in Pastor’s book below will equip you to serve the Lord.
The book may be ordered online by clicking HERE. Anyone who cannot afford the small price of the book is welcome to contact us at Pinnacle Baptist Church so that we can provide you with a free copy for your discipleship training. All that we ask is that you make a commitment to following the 10-week schedule in coordination with a mentor/discipler who will communicate with you briefly each week.
The discipleship training is intentionally organized for a mentor/discipler to walk with you through the ten-week study. We have trained disciplers who are willing to help you by spending just a few minutes each week, communicating with you about each week’s lesson and helping with any questions that you may have. There is no charge for this ministry. Please contact us with your name, email address, phone number, gender, and age so that we can match you with someone who can effectively walk through the study with you.
If you are not able or do not wish to have someone accompany you through the ten-week study, you can, of course, go through the discipleship training on your own. If you choose to do this, we still recommend that you follow the ten-week schedule and do not move more quickly through the material. This will allow you to meditate on each week’s lesson with enough time to digest it before moving on to the next lesson. In doing so, you will get more out of the study.
Weekly Schedule
- Begin reading and filling in the blanks for that week’s lesson.
- Communicate with your mentor at the arranged time for about 15-20 minutes (or listen to the recorded session below which corresponds to the week’s lesson). This time is specifically intended for you to be able to ask questions that you may have and for your mentor to make sure that you clearly understand the material before moving on to the next lesson. It is also an opportunity for you to have a fellow believer who will pray with you as you’re growing in your walk with Christ.
- Wait to begin the next week’s lesson until the designated day you’ve selected each week in order to allow time for comprehension, meditation, and prayer about the current lesson.
