James was saved as a boy on the mission field of Brazil during the 33 year ministry of his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Phillip Allen. It was there that he met his wife, Soraia, who accepted Christ at the age of 17 and surrendered, herself, to missions at the age of 18. Today they are second generation missionaries serving in Joinville, Brazil since 2003 and have since begun another church in the city now that a national pastor has been trained in the first.
